A vintage New Guinea Silver (925 sterling) Shilling from 1938 is encased in layers of textured and detailed sterling silver with two back to back clear faceted Topaz at its center. Hand pierced cutouts on the back show off the highlights of the back of the coin, along with that second Topaz encircled by a textured frame. The vintage coin represents the passage of time, a reminder that while all things change, reminders of times past stay with us. The two transparent Topaz allow us a window to the past.
Dimensions:
Pendant is 1 1/4 inches wide at its widest point and approximately 1 1/2 inches from top of bail to bottom.
Substantial rolo chain is adjustable from 17 to 19 inches.
*See last image for a glimpse of the coin when I received it. It was cleaned, patinated and buffed to achieve a more uniform dark background which accentuated the details.
